Languages

At Lyndale Secondary College students can choose to study French or Japanese. Learning another language allows our students to appreciate different customs and traditions to Language-Students-and-Teacherstheir own, thus becoming more accepting and tolerant in their attitudes. It prepares students for a broader range of experiences in the future, giving them the opportunity to understand the diversity of the world around them. Students who learn another language also manage to enhance their overall literacy skills in other key learning areas. Overall, learning a language nurtures reflective, deep and creative thinking, cultivates culturally distinctive fields of knowledge, and stimulates intellect.
