Lyndale Secondary College teams up with Sport Aircraft Association of Australia in an Australian First!

SAAA Sponsored Youth Aircraft Build and Fly Program

Lyndale Secondary College has been selected to be a part of an exciting Australia First project teaming up with Sport Aircraft Association of Australia to build an RV-12 sport aircraft.  A school from each State of Australia will build a different component of the aircraft following which the aircraft components will be transported to a central location in NSW to be assembled ready to fly.  The aircraft will then spend time in each State providing opportunities for the students’ whom have worked on it; an opportunity to learn to fly.  Lyndale Secondary College will be building both the RV-12 wings in Mr Mario Cioni’s Product Design and Development class.  Our mentors for the project are Ray and Brian from SAAA.  We are super excited to start the build process and look forward to providing our students with the opportunity to be a part of this Australia first project.  More updates to come!
