The College received some very exciting news throughout the week, that one of our very own students has been selected to trial for a position in the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Giancarlo in Year 9 has been selected as one of the top 24 drivers for the 2023 Ferrari Driver Academy Asia Pacific/Oceania Selection Program held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia this September. He will undergo evaluations on his fitness, mental strength and driving ability.
The Ferrari Driver Academy Asia Pacific and Oceania Selection Program scouts 24 of the best aspiring racing drivers aged between 14 – 17 years from the Asia Pacific and Oceania countries.
The aim of this program is to find the best young talent in this region and have them compete in the Ferrari Driver Academy Finals in Maranello, Italy for a place in the Ferrari Driver Academy.
In order for Giancarlo to participate in the selection program and take these steps towards reaching his dreams and ambitions, there are some financial costs in getting his equipment and himself overseas. For those who are in a position to do so, any financial donation from the Lyndale community towards Giancarlo’s travel expenses and essential needs would be greatly appreciated from Giancarlo and his family.
