Term 4 Week 3 News & Announcements

SWOTVAC Uniform Expectations

Dear students, parents and guardians,

This is friendly reminder that any students who come in to school during SWOTVAC must be in full school uniform. This is also a requirement for all students sitting exams on school grounds.
If you do not have the required uniform items, please bring a note to the Senior School Office to collect a uniform pass.

As students are coming and going during the SWOTVAC period, it is important for staff to be able to easily identify you as Lyndale students.

It is great to see so many of our Year 12 students coming in to meet with their teachers in preparation for their exams. We continue to encourage you to seek support from your teachers during this time and use the resources available to you. As always, we wish you the best with your studies and upcoming exams. Keep up the great work!

Kind regards,
Johanna Gallo
Year 12 Coordinator

VCE Written Examinations

Dear Parents,
This information is intended to assist our Y12 VCE families and Y11 families who have a child completing a Y12 VCE subject this year. All students doing VCE External Written exams have been given a copy of the Navigator booklet attached. This booklet sets out the timetable for the written exams and explains the materials that students are allowed to take with them into their exams. The other attachment is a localized timetable for Lyndale that indicates the time and location within the school for each exam.

This information should assist your planning to maximize your child’s potential results in these exams. Y12 students are not required at school presently. However, as previously advised, students are welcome to attend school for study, tutoring and teacher support to help prepare for the examinations.

This period is not a good time for students to be involved in hours of paid employment. A balance of physical exercise/ sport, for fitness and wellbeing, with intensive study is the best way to ensure success in these exams. Forming peer study groups for mutual support with learning and motivation is also an excellent strategy for examination success.

If there are any questions or concerns you might have, please don’t hesitate to contact the Senior School coordination team – Ms. Jo Gallo, Ms. Monique Lenehan-Moustafa, Mr. Bill Hollingworth. For Y11 students, please contact Ms. Amanda Crosbie.

We wish our students and you their families all the very best with this final hurdle.
