Term 4 Week 7 News & Announcements

School hours

Our school hours are from 8.30am-3.15pm. Students may access their lockers from 8.30am.

Students are not permitted on school grounds, unless there is a specific reason (for example an early departure for an activity) before 8.30am. This is because the school yard is not supervised before then. Likewise, students must leave the school grounds before 3.15pm. (unless there is a specific reason, e.g. homework club etc) This is also because the school grounds are not supervised after this time.

Webinars for student and parents (Results, Change of Preference and offers)

This year VTAC is running four webinars to support students and parents/guardians with understanding results, change of preference and offers.

The first two webinars getting ready for your results – what happens next? will focus on providing an in-depth explanation on the process of students receiving their results, changing preferences, and receiving and accepting offers.

The getting ready for December round – what happens next? and getting ready for January round – what happens next? webinars will each focus specifically on preparing students on maximising their preferences for both December and January offer rounds to ensure they get the best possible outcome. They will have a focus on Q&A time to allow all questions to be answered.

Requirements for school shoes

We understand at this stage of the year students are needing to purchase new school shoes as students are growing out of shoes or shoes are falling apart.

This is a friendly reminder to ensure you are purchasing school shoes in line with the Lyndale SC Requirements. (This can be found on the school website https://lyndale.vic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Uniform-Policy.pdf or in the student’s school diary)

Shoes need to be black leather, polishable shoes as this meets our OHS requirements as a school. Black runners are not acceptable and we will be asking that families respect the OHS protocols for the school and purchase the correct shoes. (please see attached picture) Black runners are acceptable for PE classes only.

Please call your child’s year-level coordinator with any questions regarding uniform
